Make your own Cup Noodles at the Cup Noodles Museum
Explore the history of instant noodles in Yokohama Japan, and then make your very own Cup Noodles...
Cup Noodles. A staple for U.S. college students, male bachelors who can’t cook, and countless asian people across the world.
For fans of this miracle of food convenience, the Cup Noodles Museum in Yokohama is a must stop.
Cup Noodles was created by Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin Food Products and inventor of Chicken Ramen, the world’s first instant ramen.
The museum itself is beautiful, has a lot of exhibits, including a whole “kids” ramen inspired park, which I was not allowed in even though I’m just a child in adult sized clothing.
The MOST compelling thing though about this place is that you can make your very own cup noodles, made to your specifications 😉 If you have time you can even make your own cup noodles FROM SCRATCH (which I didn’t get to do because you got to be an early bird to catch that worm, and I’m so bad with time that I’ll be late to my own funeral for sure).
Check out the picks below to get a sense of the size and history of that is present in the museum, and then go all the way to the end to see my very own “DJ NEIL ARMSTRONG CUP NOODLES” getting made 😉
